Looking for a bar with a private room to throw your party? We throw parties for a living. Let us help you with yours!
The Back Room
We have numerous popular spaces for parties, gatherings or corporate events. One of our most popular is our semi-private area, The Back Room. To reserve the Back Room, which can seat up to 18-20 guests and hold as a gathering space upwards of 30 guests, call us today. The minimum spend for the Back Room is $600.
Communal High Top Area
Another amazing large party option at The Winslow is our Communal High Top area. This area consists of three large tables each of which can seat up to 9 guests and can be a good home base for upwards of 12 guests. The minimum-spend for each communal high top is $300. (The minimum spend for the entire space would be $900).
Banquette Seating Section
I also highly recommend our Banquette Seating Section. The area seats up to 20 people and is lined with booths and lower seating which some guests find more comfortable. The minimum for the area is also $300. This space is great for dinner parties! For larger groups, looking for more floor space to gather, we can add the middle pillar seating section for an additional minimum of $300. The entire space can hold upwards of 30-35 guests and would be roped off so no other customers would be in your space. The minimum spend for the entire space would be $600.
There is also an independent communal high top located in our Nook Area. This space is separate but has the same booking requirements as a single communal high top and is great for a group of 10-15 guests.
To confirm all reservations for any of our private rooms, we require credit card information. We do not charge a rental fee for any of our spaces, we just ask that you meet the minimum spends listed above. There will be no charge to the credit card used to reserve unless you cancel the reservation within 5 days of the reserved date or do not meet the minimum spend requirements. The cancellation fees are as follows: The Back Room: $150; Communal High Top Area: $50 per table ($150 for the full space); Nook Area: $50; Banquette and Middle Pillar Section: $100. No reservation is considered confirmed without a credit card on file.
- The minimum spend requirements for any space do not have to be on one check and any food or drink items you or your guests purchase goes towards them. Gratuity is added to all large groups of 6 or more, whether this be on one check or separate tabs.
- All confirmed reservations are allocated the space for 3 hours. If you would like to stay longer, please let us know in advance so we can try to accommodate you elsewhere in the restaurant.
- Please be advised if you are booking on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night to inform your guests that if they come late for your reservation there may be a wait outside due to us being at capacity.
- Please find our party packages and photos of our space attached. For the party food options, we do request at least a 72 hour notice for ordering, as our chef has to specialty order those ingredients.
- Feel free to decorate! All we ask is no glitter or confetti, and nothing gets stuck to the wallpaper in the back room. Other than that– the more the merrier! Cake or cupcakes are also welcome, but these are the only outside food or drink products we allow. There is a $15 flat cake fee.
We receive several inquiries and reservations a day for our private party rooms, and no space is held without a card on file. All reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Schedule Your Private Room Event
The Winslow is one of the best bars with private rooms in NYC to throw your next event.
Here are some reviews of common events we host at The Winslow
Held a 30th birthday party there this past weekend and everything was really wonderful. Perfect semi-private area for 20ish people, great food & great service. Would recommend to anyone wanting to throw a casual party with flexibility! Cait the manager was super awesome and extremely helpful in both the planning and execution on the night of. Great spot!!Yelp Review – Nicole D. Astoria, Queens, NY,
Graduation Party Bar
Had a graduation party here for 25-30 people. Really great space for big groups, not crowded but still many people at the bar, and drinks were real good too! (Number 3 was my fave). If you’re looking for an establishment where you can sit and talk to your friends with plenty of space, this is the spot for you. Music was pretty good too! We originally had 2 tables reserved in the back for my party, but then the servers let us move to the more private back room which was great too. The only downside was that the temperature was on the hotter side at the back of the bar (the front of the bar was a good temperature). Overall, I’d definitely recommend hosting a party at this establishment. The servers were great and it was a very reasonable price to reserve for a big party, especially if you’re not looking to break your wallet in NYC. I also ordered some hors d’œuvres which were tasty as well. Thank you Cait for being very responsive and accommodating! Will def plan another event here again.Yelp Review – Krystal B. Private Room Baby Shower
The Winslow was the recent venue for a large baby showergathering I helped to host. They easily handled our group of approximately 55 people and the service was top notch. We had the choice of a great assortment of food off their party menu (including fish and chips, mushroom mini pies, pigs in a blanket, etc). Cait and her team were on top of all my questions and requests leading up to the event which really put us at ease. All party attendees had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend for any event or casual stop-by!Yelp Review – Marisa A. Manhattan, NY
I hosted my friends bridal shower here and it was amazing ! Great food, service and the space was adorable, I would heavily consider using this spot again for any future birthdays or parties and will certainly return here for some dinner and drinks!Yelp Review – Anastasia R. Manhattan, NY
It’s hard to describe the Winslow–somehow it manages to be TOTALLY raucous, pub-comfy AND a bit upscale all at the same time. As a former New Yorker, I knew it was going to be nearly impossible to find a space for an engagement party that was relaxed and funky enough to also let me throw in a few creative ideas and touches. I emailed/called over 50 venues from the west coast looking for a spot I could be proud to invite my friends to that wouldn’t break the bank, and got very, very lucky when my google search yielded a Yelp review of the Winslow back room.Yelp Review – Kmama M. Cait, the GM, is ON TOP OF IT…and that, my friends, is an understatement. She (and Emma) are rapid fire with responses to questions, crystal clear on expectations, and incredibly flexible. Your party will not be dictated by a bunch of random, stifling rules that have been set forward by an absentee manager.
Not only that, but ALL of the staff are fun, warm, genuine people, and the drinks are delicious. And if that weren’t enough, the late night DJ knows his stuff! Perfect formula for a successful evening, let alone an impressive bar.
My eternal gratitude for putting up with our hilarious (and loud) friends and family and helping us make our engagement party a truly memorable event. I feel incredibly lucky that I found you and couldn’t be happier!
We’ll be back!
Booked their backroom for my wife’s 30th birthday. It was totally worth it. Our server was very nice and friendly. Very attentive to our needs and customized a few drinks to our taste. Their Gin selection is amazing we tired at least 5 of their G&Ts and loved all of them. My favorite was Uncle Val’s. Also their spicy margaritas were really good. Food selection is nice. Jalapeño Mac and Cheese, Scotch eggs and Shishito Peppers were really good. My personal favorite was the Irish Dip. Everybody had a really good time and I highly recommend this place.Google Review – Nivesh Aggarwal
After Work Happy Hour
Went here for drinks, they have a nice atmosphere in a busy area. Some tables which is good for a change with candle lighting. They have happy hour from 5-7 with specials on beer, wine, cocktails, and gin. This is a gin bar so they have 2 pages of gin specials which isn’t really common but great if you like gin. They have simple bar food like wings, salads, etc. Overall nice bar, friendly service and nice being able to sit down.Google Review – Mina Ghaly
