The Winslow is one of the best bars to throw your next event.
We have numerous popular spaces for parties, gatherings or corporate events. One of our most popular is our semi-private area, The Back Room. To reserve the Back Room, we ask for a minimum of 20 guests, it can accommodate up to 35 people and has additional tables available surrounding the area for bigger parties. To confirm a reservation we do need a credit card to put on file. There is no rental fee or charge to the card unless you cancel the reservation within 72 hours of the reserved date, in which case you would incur a $150 cancelation fee. The minimum-spend for the Back Room is $600. Every guest can start his or her own separate tab through your designated server, and any food or drink item you or your guests order goes towards the minimum.
Another great party option at The Winslow is our communal high top area. This area consists of three large tables of which you can reserve one, two or all three depending on the size of your party. Each table can comfortably sit up to 9 people or hold up to 15 as a gathering spot or home base for parties. Credit card information would still be needed but again there are no rental fees only late cancellation fees, the fee is $50 per large communal table. The minimum-spend for each communal high top is $300.
There is also an independent communal high top located in our Nook Area. This space is separate but has the same booking requirements as a single communal high top and is great for a group of 10-15 guests.
We also highly recommend our banquet seating. The area seats up to 20 people and is lined with booths and lower seating which some guests find more comfortable. It can hold as a gathering space up to 25-30 guests. The minimum for the area is also $300 and has a cancelation fee of $50 (again, if within 72 hours). The space is great for dinner parties or we can also move the tables together to create more of a gathering space if so desired. For larger groups we can add the middle pillar seating section for an additional minimum of $300.
Please be advised if you are booking on a Friday or Saturday night to inform your guests that if they come late for your reservation there may be a wait outside due to us being at capacity, especially after 10pm. Feel free to decorate! All we ask is no glitter or confetti, and nothing gets stuck to the wallpaper in the back room. Other than that– the more the merrier! Also, cake or cupcakes are welcome but these are the only outside food or drink products we allow. There is a $10 cake fee.
The Semi-Private Back Room is perfect for many styles of gatherings or events! We also have our amazing Communal High Top area as well as our Banquet Section that are great for large groups and can be used as a corporate event space as well. Held a 30th birthday party there this past weekend and everything was really wonderful. Perfect semi-private area for 20ish people, great food & great service. Had a graduation party here for 25-30 people. Really great space for big groups, not crowded but still many people at the bar, and drinks were real good too! (Number 3 was my fave). If you’re looking for an establishment where you can sit and talk to your friends with plenty of space, this is the spot for you. Music was pretty good too! We originally had 2 tables reserved in the back for my party, but then the servers let us move to the more private back room which was great too. The only downside was that the temperature was on the hotter side at the back of the bar (the front of the bar was a good temperature). Overall, I’d definitely recommend hosting a party at this establishment. The servers were great and it was a very reasonable price to reserve for a big party, especially if you’re not looking to break your wallet in NYC. The Winslow was the recent venue for a large baby showergathering I helped to host. They easily handled our group of approximately 55 people and the service was top notch. We had the choice of a great assortment of food off their party menu (including fish and chips, mushroom mini pies, pigs in a blanket, etc). Cait and her team were on top of all my questions and requests leading up to the event which really put us at ease. All party attendees had a wonderful time. It’s hard to describe the Winslow–somehow it manages to be TOTALLY raucous, pub-comfy AND a bit upscale all at the same time. As a former New Yorker, I knew it was going to be nearly impossible to find a space for an engagement party that was relaxed and funky enough to also let me throw in a few creative ideas and touches. Cait, the GM, is ON TOP OF IT…and that, my friends, is an understatement. She (and Emma) are rapid fire with responses to questions, crystal clear on expectations, and incredibly flexible. Your party will not be dictated by a bunch of random, stifling rules that have been set forward by an absentee manager.
Not only that, but ALL of the staff are fun, warm, genuine people, and the drinks are delicious. And if that weren’t enough, the late night DJ knows his stuff! Perfect formula for a successful evening, let alone an impressive bar.
My eternal gratitude for putting up with our hilarious (and loud) friends and family and helping us make our engagement party a truly memorable event. I feel incredibly lucky that I found you and couldn’t be happier!
