Union Square Holiday Kickoff

There is so much to see and do in Union Square during the holiday season! Help get the season started off right by joining in on the festivities as the joy of the winter season rolls into NYC. Holiday Kickoff is on Sunday, November 21 and starts from 11AM to 2PM at the west plaza.

You can have your holiday family portraits done, grab some hot chocolate and shop unique vendors to your heart’s content. You can also enjoy carolling by The New York Jingle Belles, entertainment from DJ Commish, treats from Ole & Steen and Breads Bakery plus fun and free giveaways courtesy of Union Square Partnership to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

NYC’s Premier Shopping Destination

When it comes to shopping, there is no place better than Union Square and no time better than the holiday season. Whether you are shopping for an entertainer, a pet parent, a student, a bookworm or someone a bit more eclectic, you are likely to find just what you are looking for at Union Square.

Union Square Holiday Market

Year round, Union Square is a great place to visit, to shop and to be entertained, but at this time of year it becomes magical.  Union Square Holiday Market is open from November 19th through December 24th at 4PM. More than one thousand local vendors take part in the Union Square Holiday Market. Just a few of the businesses that you can expect to see participating in the event are:

  • Forbidden Planet
  • City Papery
  • Greenwich Living Antiques
  • Happy Socks
  • Paragon Sports
  • Kidding Around
  • Cocoa Store NYC
  • Beecher’s Handmade Cheese

And many more!

Union Square Holiday Market is the perfect place to shop, dine and be entertained this winter. It gives you the opportunity to support small businesses and shop locally, which is great for the community. Union Square Holiday Market also gives you many opportunities to shop and dine outdoors at a time of year when it is far less easy to find.

You can also count on every single vendor at the market taking all necessary precautions to make this a safe and happy holiday shopping experience. Check out their Holiday Guide 2021 for details on events and vendors.

Open-Air Greenmarket

The Union Square Greenmarket is one of the absolute jewels of NYC. Union Square is lucky enough to have a greenmarket that provides a diverse enough variety of goods to operate year round. You can shop fresh fruits and veggies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

Some of the other exciting produce and products that you can find at the Union Square Greenmarket are fresh seafood, honey, all natural dairy and eggs and fresh cut flowers.
